foldfactory, and other FEG products use the GATF InterTech™ Award-winning FOLDRite™ system, which was the product of seven years of print industry research. FOLDRite™ documents 186 folding styles in total and is the only folding classification system in the industry today.

In 2002, the original foldfactory.com was launched as a subscription service. In the years since, FEG has partnered with Network PDF, Inc. to develop and market an expanding assortment of FOLDRite™ products for the graphic arts industry.

In 2008, foldfactory.com was revamped and relaunched with a new community format and single template downloads.
